Why choose Angel James?
As an actress herself, Angel has gone through the process of getting headshots and finding/signing with representation. Your job can be stressful enough so getting the perfect photos shouldn’t have to be. Be ready for a myriad of dad jokes, and lots of laughter during your shoot. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to voice them. When you book with Angel she walks you through your session every step of the way from selecting your clothing for the shoot to helping you choose which photos best exemplify your needs. She provides materials to help guide you no matter what stage of your career you are in, whether providing a checklist to prepare for your shoot or supplying research materials to know the difference between a theatrical and commercial headshot or helping you discover your type.
Should I choose a studio or outdoor shoot?
Outdoor shoots provide a different aesthetic than a studio, and have more versatility in backdrops. However, studio shoots allow the photographer to mold the light around you, bringing out your best look. Studios also provide private areas to shoot and change looks, and of course is not subject to the whims of Mother Nature. Speak with your representation about which one works better for your needs.
Can I customize my package?
Absolutely! You can adjust the time, looks, and images for your session or get a custom colored backdrop if booking a studio shoot. See pricing below.

Is there a deposit to book?
A 25% non-refundable initial payment is required when booking. This payment will be applied towards the total cost of your session.
How do I get the most out of my session?
Solicit feedback on your wardrobe choices before the day of the shoot and use your proof link to share the images from your session with you agent, manager, or trusted friends and family before selecting your headshots for retouching.
When will I get my photos?
Proofs are returned within three business days of your shoot, and once I have received your selections for retouching, you will receive the edited headshots within two weeks. If you need your photos sooner than that, you can put in a rush order for an additional fee.
What if I don't like any of my proofs?
Angel James Photography wants you to love your photos, so if you aren't head over heels for your headshots you may request either a free reshoot or a refund prior to the distribution of edited pictures.
