Callie and Sara are two young women making their way in New York City – one as a radio traffic reporter, the other as a third-grade teacher in the Bronx. While each woman is straight, they develop an unspoken attraction. When they share a first kiss in a West Village park late at night, a bystander attacks them viciously, transforming their lives and lives around them.
